Cunard Offers Weddings at Sea

By Chris Bradley

Cunard Line is now offering guests the opportunity to get married at sea. The cruise line has been going for 171 years and has never offered weddings before, so this is a great opportunity for their loyal customers to have a very memorable ceremony on board their favourite ship or for new customers, wanting to be married at sea, to see what Cunard has to offer.

The president, Peter Shanks, explained that most of their competitors offer weddings at sea and they can see that it is becoming very popular. He said they have had a lot of enquiries about weddings at sea, especially on board their Queen Mary 2 in the middle of the Atlantic and so will soon be offering a Weddings at Sea service so that they can provide their customers with what they want. He said that weddings are a lucrative business and that they would like to be part of this popular activity.

This service will start in the spring of 2012 once their World Voyages series finishes. There will be packages available on all three of their ships, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2. There will be a brochure available from November 2011 and weddings can be booked from December. This means that people will have the opportunity to not only get married on board ship, but in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on a very new cruise ship. It is likely to be something that is popular and will bring happiness to a lot of people.
