The Crowne Plaza Bengaluru Electronic City has been celebrating recognition by the World Travel Awards. They won the India’s Leading new Business Award title which means a lot as the awards are the most prestigious in the industry and voted on by 213,000 industry professionals. The property is operated by InterContinental Hotels and represented recognition of quality of service and consistent standards. The hotel manager, Ranjan Malakar, accepted the award at the ceremony in Bangkok and said that it was a big honour and showed the staff’s commitment to their guests.
The employees in the hotel speak both Hindi and English, to help make guests feel at home. The hotel is an upmarket one, part of the hotel groups Crowne Plaza range of dynamic and up scale brands aimed at business travellers, but not exclusively. It offers value but also excellence and services to business and leisure guests and was named as Best Business Hotel – South India in 2010 by Today’s Traveller. The hotel is well designed with crystal lights in the lobby and spacious rooms.
There is a bar and restaurants as well as an infinity pool and the hotel is 60km from Bangalore International Airport. Business facilities include a ballroom which can cater for 1,200 people and a selection of boardrooms. They can provide a selection of business services such as couriers, faxing, copying, email and Internet. There is also a fitness centre for guests with whirlpool and sauna. There are 195 rooms in total and one suite, which all have a coffee maker, iron and ironing board and hairdryer.
