Which magazine has conducted a poll to find out what Britons like when on holiday. They have found that people are willing to pay more money if they get a more memorable experience. The poll asked people who were their favourite holiday companies and topping the list were Kuoni and Trailfinders in joint place.
These companies are known to be more expensive than many, and yet have been placed top. This implies that people can see that they offer a more quality service. In third place came P&O and in fourth Travel Republic and Saga in joint position.
The rankings were based on customer service, value for money, accommodation and other factors. However, although this looks like this means that Britons will take more expensive holidays, this will not necessarily be the case. As with many top end brands, most people realise that they offer good quality and better value for money but they just do not have the money to afford them. When people are buying something that eventually wears out, then they may be happy to pay more knowing that they will not have to buy another one for a long time. With holidays things do not work out like this and sadly, even if you have had a really good holiday, it often does not mean that you can wait longer until you feel like you need another one.
However, on a more positive note, the companies that have been recognised as best can be happy in knowing that they have managed to build up a good reputation. Offering good value for money is much better than being associated with being expensive or cheap as it means that, whatever customers can afford to pay, they know it will be well spent.
