The beautiful countryside between Builth Wells and Rhayader is home to the small village of Llanwrthwl. The village has just one shop, but the bustling market town of Rhayader with its selection of unusual little shops, eateries, pubs, leisure complex, and cycle hire is 2.5 miles away. Pony trekking is available in the area, and beautiful Red Kites can also be observed at a feeding station created for the birds. The fantastic Elan Valley Lakes are close and waiting to be discovered, or visit Builth Wells, where the annual Royal Welsh Show is held. Here you will find a great variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs, year-round craft shows and exhibitions.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
