Self catering holiday accommodation, caravans and chalets in Glasgow
Glasgow is a city which received bad press in the past but has recently redeveloped and changed drastically. There are some fantastic holiday rental apartments in the city centre but also in the outskirts where you will have a more peaceful experience. It is a popular destination with visitors and this means that although it is busy, there is plenty to do. There is so much ancient architecture but also dispersed with new, which provides a very interesting outlook.
The city has an interesting history and by looking at the buildings as well as spending time in some of the museums you will get to find out more about it. It is very easy to travel around the city with an underground train system as well as lots of trains and buses and two railway stations. As a result you can go to many places very easily. As well as shopping and museums, the city also has a massive selection of restaurants and bars, art galleries, theatres and a concert hall.
Outside the city there is plenty of lovely countryside, which can be a nice change from the urban city. You can perhaps visit Pollock Country Park which houses the Burrell collection or just wander around in some of the spectacular countryside. If you want some greenery closer to the centre, there is Glasgow Green which has been used to host many famous events and if you visit on a Sunday you will be able to witness the famous market at the Barras. Glasgow is a vibrant city and has plenty to keep everyone happy but just outside offers a rural retreat. It is therefore the ideal location for someone who doesn't want to be out of touch with urban life but would like some peace and relaxation. Your hardest decision will be which apartment to rent as your holiday rental accommodation in this amazing city.
