Self catering holiday accommodation, caravans and chalets in Banff
Banff is an area which provides fantastic views from most of the towns and villages. The picturesque area looks over the Moray Firth and this coastal area focuses around the sea. As it is a traditional area, you will not find it overrun with tourists and water sports but you will be able to join the locals in fishing in the rivers or watching the fishermen returning to shore with their nets.
As well as rivers, heading inland will provide you with an opportunity to explore the lovely countryside of the area. Renting rural holiday cottage accommodation in the area will allow exploring all of this as well as discovering new rural towns and villages where you can enjoy the history of the places or follow castle or whisky trails.
There are bigger cities such as Aberdeen and Inverness that you can explore as well, where you might find that shopping takes over for a while but they still have history to explore. Of course, you may just prefer to look around the little fishing villages instead and feel like you have stepped back in time to when there were smugglers and fishermen in the places. You are bound to relax in a small village like this and it is a great opportunity to experience some of the traditional culture of Scotland cottage rentals.
