Book villas and apartments in Foz Do Arelho and discover an area well known for its beaches. There are two in the town, split by the River Arelho. The beaches have silver white sand and some lovely beach bars, so it is very easy to relax when staying in a beach villa rental. There is also a great and safe swimming place in the Lagoa de Obidos which unlike the beaches has no risk of sea currents and is also popular with windsurfers.

Surfers like to use the beaches though and if you time the visit when the swells are coming from the west then the conditions are perfect. The town also offers some great restaurants, many serving local seafood of which the speciality is clams. The beach restaurants tend to have tables facing out to sea and you can sit and watch the sun setting while enjoying a traditional meal.

Nearby, Bom Sucesso is a resort centred on a golf course and spa and offers high class facilities as well as access to the Obidos Lagoon National Park. Temperatures in the area tend to average at twenty degrees from May to October and they can get into the forties in July and August.
