Holiday home rentals in Azoia
Azoia is a fantastic holiday destination because it is unspoilt with many great value traditional self catering holiday rentals. This means that you really get to experience Portuguese traditions as well as the stunning surrounding scenery. Being in the foothills of the Sierra de Sintra means that the village is a great place to stay if you like hiking and exploring and there are churches, castles and monasteries in the area to look at too. There are farmhouses and cottages with pools that have fantastic views of the surrounding area.
The coast is also very close by and there is the Cabo de Roca lighthouse to look at and many coastal villas to rent. It is a tourist attraction especially at sunset when they are fabulous photograph opportunities. The coast is very popular as it has long sandy beaches with great conditions for surfing, with Guincho even hosting the annual windsurfing championships. With such a long beach, it is easy to find a secluded area should you wish to.
The town has plenty of bars and restaurants such as the cosy and romantic Windmill Bar. There are also lots of shops and cafes in the town and even a daily market and some city centre apartment rentals. Nearby you can visit Sinitra a world heritage town which has a Moorish Castle, Penedo which is a traditional village and Colares which is a great wine producing area. With its long summers which are in the high twenties but not humid and even warm winters, never getting below 10 degrees in the day, it is easy to see why holiday rental accommodation is so popular in this area.
