This offers excellent opportunities for a relaxing holiday. There are sufficient opportunities to explore by walking or on the bike the natural areas of this region. The dunes of Kamperland are widely known! On North Sea beach, it is pleasant to linger, and for surfing and sailing you can on the other side of the Veerse Dam: the Veerse Sea. The Netherlands is for more than half below sea level. In order to protect the Netherlands, the Delta Works were built, to protect against a disaster, as it was in 1953. If you are interested in the backgrounds of the storm surge brigade, then go for a visit to Waterland Neeltje Jans.
