Situated in the same-named bay, on a coastal stretch entitled "Riviera di Ulisse", Gaeta has a long history. The "Parco Urbano di Monte Orlando" is located on headlands almost completely surrounded by the sea. The rest of the town stretches along the medieval roads, with a large castle, Roman buildings, historical churches and several beaches. Well-known bathing resort with 25'000 inhabitants, directly by the sea with beautiful view, 90 km north-west from Napoli, 160 km south-east from Roma. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway A1 Roma - Napoli, exit number "Cassino". Then road SS. 230 - SS. 7 - SS. 213. Railway station "Formia" 9 km. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Roma-Fiumicino (FCO) 150 km, Roma-Ciampino (CIA) 160 km, Napoli-Capodichino (NAP) 95 km.
