Self catering holiday accommodation, caravans and chalets in Waterville
Waterville in based on Ballinskelligs Bay and is part of the Ring of Kerry trail in County Kerry. It is a great choice for a holiday rental location for anyone who loves being in the out of doors. Renting a cottage in Waterville will mean that you get the most fantastic views of both the Irish Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
It is enough to make you want to stay there and stare at the views all day long, which would no doubt be very relaxing! However, it is likely that you would like to leave Ireland with more memories than just those of the views and many visitors do cement their memories by taking photographs and even doing paintings and drawings of the landscapes and wildlife.
If you do fancy something a bit more adventurous though, you can explore on foot, by bike or even on horseback. There are also opportunities for more extreme sports such as mountaineering and diving but also swimming, surfing, golf and wind surfing. Nearby the village of Caherdaniel is an interesting place to visit. The old copper mining town now draws more tourists than metal as it has the remains of an interesting Fort as well as a National Park surrounding Derrynane House which was once the home of Daniel O'Connell.
The climate is ideal for sightseeing, sports and relaxation as it is not too hot – just below twenty degrees in the hottest part but also not too cold at just below ten degrees in the winter. There may be more rain in the winter, but with temperatures not varying too much, holiday rental accommodation is popular at all times of the year.
