It is just 4km from the coast and is situated high up and so has fantastic views from your luxury villas and apartment rentals.
You can look over forests and vineyards right across to Port Gassin. The Maures Mountains are nearby and can be explored on foot or on horseback. You can follow the trails to vineyards and attend wine tasting days should you wish to. It is an ancient town and has managed to remain looking so which makes it very appealing indeed with many of the gites and apartment rentals retaining their charm and character.
The shadowy, cobbled streets are popular in the heat of the day and there are plenty of pavement cafes to sit in and watch the world go by. There is a lovely chapel and rectory which are worth taking a look at too. The most popular place in the area has to be the Gassin golf course as it is landscaped and with coastal views it is a pleasure to play there.
The country club also boasts swimming pools and tennis courts for use by anyone who rents a holiday villa there as their holiday home. A new attraction is the Gassin Marina and many boats are now attracted there although not a match for St Tropez which is within very close proximity. Also nearby are the Sainte Maxime beaches, Cogolin Marina and some stunning rural villages including La Croix Valmer.
