The village is situated between St Tropez and the Maures mountains and so is in a great location for sightseeing. It has a 14th century clock tower which used to be part of the castle, that is no longer standing. There are several ancient churches as well as a windmill just outside the village, which visitors like to walk to and then picnic nearby. There are museums to visit too. There are fishing, sailing and diving trips which leave form the marina regularly and it is within an easy walk of the beach.
A little further along is the old Port Coglin which only has room for 180 boats but is much more traditional and relaxed and so well worth a visit. Staying in holiday homes in Cogolin can also allow you easy access to the Maures hills where there are numerous trails which can be walked or hiked along but also are suitable for biking and conveniently there is a bicycle shop in Cogolin.
