Holiday Villa in Saint Fort sur Gironde

This charming villa is in the Charente-Maritime and set against a hill. It is full of atmosphere and has its own swimming pool. The apartment is on the ground floor of the newly built villa. It is in a quiet area with a fabulous panoramic view of the valley and of the Gironde, Europes largest tidal river. The apartment is well equipped, has comfortable furniture and its own terrace and entrance. The village of Saint Fort sur Gironde is near the banks of the Gironde and set in a hilly landscape. The village has 1000 inhabitants. Youll find a baker, grocer, bank and post office there.
The Marais is former marshland along the banks of the Gironde. It is a protected wild bird sanctuary and starts around 500m from the apartment. The sea is about 1.5 km away. Youll find small fishing harbours and marinas, such as Port Maubert and Mortagne. They are very good for fish restaurants. The water level falls dramatically at low tide and the harbours become almost dry.
The vineyards of the Medoc are on the other side of the Gironde with such famous wines as St. Emilion, Paillac, St. Estephe and many more.
The house owner lives in the same house where the apartment is situated.
