The property is on the edge of the town of Puy L'eveque and beside the river, in the season it is possible to rent a canoe, there is also a public swimming pool and tennis courts all available on the opposite side of the river.As this is in the Cahors wine country there are many vineyards to visit and wines to taste if you like, there are also many walks to take from the quite challenging to the more gentle so something to suit everyone. There are a number of restaurants in the town without having to go too far away,but there are also many more in the surrounding area. You will find there is a market in one or other of the villages around on a different day of the week.
There are many bastide towns some only a short drive away, and they are certainly worth a visit, Montpazier, and Penne d'Agennais to mention just two.
