Within easy reach are West Bay, Bridport and its twice weekly street markets and Lyme Regis - a bustling seaside town offering south-facing beaches, Jazz Festival, Carnival and Regatta Week and plentiful boat and fishing trips - and the picturesque village of Charmouth renowned for its famous fossil beach. Further afield are the diverse attractions of Corfe Castle, Cerne Abbas and its giant, Dorchester - the centre of Hardy’s Wessex, Swanage, Wareham and Weymouth. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally, and for walking enthusiasts the house is very close to the South West Coastal Path.
