In front of the house is a sun-meadow, bordered with conifers. Next to the house in the forests is a spot with a fireplace. In and around Boskovice is plenty to do. There is a sauna, a bath-house, a swimming-pool, six tennis-courts, an ice-stadion and Modrá Věž (blue tower) with a department store and a sports centre. The sports centre offers: fitness, squash, sauna, bowling, badminton, solarium and billiards. Boskovice lies in the Moravian Karst, an exceptionally beautiful area with splendid nature and many caves. For those who want to explore the vicinity by bicycle, bicycles can be rented at the landlord. He can arrange a German-speaking guide who accompanies your explorations by car through this part of the Czech Republic. In Kořenec (12 km) is a 9-holes golf-course "Sokrates". Just outside Boskovice in the immediate vicinity countless castles can be found, often built in the renaissance or baroque style: Kunštát (16 km), Lysice (16 km), Letovice (17 km), and Rájec-Jestřebí (15 km). Each of them are gems of architecture and furnishment. Swimming-pools can be found in Boskovice, Lysice and Letovice. Lovers of aquatic sports can go to the Suchý lake (9 km) and the Křetínka storage lake (15 km). The towns of Brno (46 km) Prostějov (38 km) and Olomouc (30 km) are certainly worth while a day-trip. Brno, the second town of the Czech Republic is attractive because of its many musea, entertainment, shopping centres, the Špilberk fortress and the trade fair grounds. Olomouc (30 km), former capital and episcopal seat is now a university town and cultural centre of Moravia. The city has plenty of squares, churches, facades and fountains. Mozart, the emperor Ferdinand and Gustav Mahler lived here for a longer or a shorter period. Near Olomouc is a zoo.
