This park is situated behind the beach and dunes of the Belgian coast and offers a variety of possibilities for leisure-time fun for both young and old. Children will enjoy the Earth Explorer science park with its themes of water, earth, wind and fire. This is 3.2 kilometers from the holiday park and is easily accessible by car as is the Plopsaland theme park. It is also situated near a riding school and bowling alley (3.7km). The sports enthusiasts in the group can visit the Windekind Beach Club (11.5 km) or the outdoor pool on the beach of Oostduinkerke. For nature lovers there are several hiking and cycling trails in the vicinity including the Yde and Doornpanne footpath and Veurne-craft route. For art and history lovers, there are several art galleries here where various exhibitions are held throughout the year. Otherwise, a visit to St. Nicholas Church, the old British military cemetery, the National Visserijmuseum, the Museum of Locks and Keys and the National History Museum of Florishof will prove worthwhile. You can also try shrimp fishing on horseback as the former occupants once did here. In the evening, visit the center of Oostduinkerke where several restaurants and cafes can be found, as well as discos and a cinema.
