Sineu is located in the countryside, away from the really busy beaches but still within reach of the coast. Renting holiday accommodation here is therefore ideal for having a really relaxing holiday in self catering apartments and villa rentals. It is a great place to visit if you want to have a peaceful holiday but still be within reach of some attractions.
The town itself has a Gothic cathedral and an old windmill and has views of the lovely countryside and mountains. The town has a market which was started by King James II in 1306 and is held on a Wednesday. There are livestock traded here as well as local produce and just about every sort of foodstuff that you would need for a self catering vacation.
In May there is a fair which visits the town annually and is the most popular one in Majorca. There is a great range of things available to buy. Palma is about 25 miles away and is well worth a visit as there is a lovely cathedral, La Seu as well as other memorable buildings. There are the old Arab baths and flower gardens which are also lovely. The weather in this area is sunny most of the year with the summers reaching over thirty degrees in the hottest parts and the winters staying above sixteen.
