Santa Margalida is a village in Majorca which is unspoilt and has a fine selection of traditional holiday rental accommodation. Choose from self catering farmhouses, traditional cottages, luxury large villas and modern apartments. This means that you can stay in a self catering property here and really experience the traditions of the area and not be crowded by too many other people. The beaches and countryside in the area are all lovely and unspoilt. It is therefore the perfect place to relax.
The village centre has lovely pavement cafes in shady squares as well as tapas bars, churches and little restaurants and you can sit with the locals and just enjoy the atmosphere. There is also an interesting history in the area with the Roman Amphitheatre in Alcudia and the Stone Age site in Son Baulo being close by.
There are also golf courses in Capdepera and Pollenca popular with people on golfing holidays, but if you would rather walk around something more natural you can look at the S'Albufera National Park where there is lots of wildlife to spot. There is a museum there too so you know what to look out for.
Alcudia also offers lovely beaches which are popular in the summer when temperatures are good and as a result there are many different water sports centres here. Therefore it is a great location if you want to have the opportunity to take part in activities but also want to be able to unwind and relax on a self catering holiday.
