Campanet is a delightful location in Majorca but it has not yet been invaded by mass tourism and so you can get an experience of traditional Valldemossa life here when you rent holiday villas. The village is at the bottom of the Sierra de Tramuntana Mountains and so perfect for discovering this wonderful part of the country. It is a peaceful location and so a great place to relax and unwind but there is still plenty to do.
The self-catering accommodation tends to be placed between the mountains and the coast so you can discover both. All you have to decide is if you want a villa with a pool, a traditional cottage or farmhouse or a modern holiday apartment. The sandy beaches are set in small coves where you can find some privacy and there are plenty of trails to walk as you discover the mountains and countryside.
There are also some great cliff walks where you can admire countryside on one side and sea on the other. There are some golf courses in the area too and so the location is great for anyone who wants an outdoor holiday. Many golfers come here on golfing holidays. There are also some great bars where you can spend an evening or two relaxing.
If you are interested in Fiestas then you will want to visit in July during the fiesta of Sant Victoria or in May for the agricultural Fair. Campanet tends to attract visitors because of the caves and underground lakes and these are open every day. When you have finished exploring the caves, cliffs, countryside, beaches and bars then you may like to just relax and sunbathe. With June to October being really sunny you will easily be able to get a great tan staying in self catering holiday rental accommodation.
