Seefeld-Leutasch is in the Tirol region of Austria and is situated in the Alps on a plateau. This means that it has fantastic views looking down the valley below and in to Innsbruck. The village is a fantastic place to either walk or ski in as the mountain tops are so close by. Bring your family and rent a large chalet or a self catering ski apartment as your rental accommodation. There are many marked paths through the peaks and they vary in skill level with flat wildlife walks and more tricky walks through the mountain.
There are also great areas for mountain biking, some of which are pretty challenging and others that are basic. In the winter time these trails are covered in snow and winter sports become the focus. Cross-country skiing is popular here as the conditions are ideal but also winter walking and some downhill. A few miles away are some large downhill skiing areas.
The town itself is very pretty and most of the walking trails start in the town. There are cafes where you can unwind with a drink. Nearby Mosern has fantastic views of the Inns Valley and also has a forest nearby as well as a lake where you can take a lovely walk. The area has good weather with it being around freezing in the winter months but warm in the spring and summer.
